Are you ready to learn how to make money on the internet or how to achieve any desire, dream or goal you might have?  here’s 3 Serious Questions to ask yourself to find out if you’re a contender!

I’ve just read Alex Jeffrey’s New ebook - Newbie’s Nightmare which you can download for free, and thought I would do a 3 part review mixed in with some of my personal thoughts and ideas :).  Firstly its relatively lightweight and easy to read- only 46 pages, about a 45minute read (1 page a minute) but it contains some highly concentrated concepts, and strategies, including detailing Alex Jeffrey’s basic marketing strategy.

Although Newbie’s Nightmare does not have chapter headings or sections, it is basically split into 3 parts (hence the 3 part review). - Here is my breakdown of the sections:

1. 1. The Prelude - The Prerequisites to being successful online
   2. The Problems - The 3 common problems newbies face
   3. The Pathway To Success - Understanding The Internet Marketing Method (This last part includes the hurdle that is stopping 99% of newbie’s from ever making money.

So in this first part of this Review I’ll be giving you my slant on the Prerequisites - and there are only 3!

1. TIME

Do you have the TIME to invest to become successful? Sometimes we are in a very busy place - everything seems to be happening at once - we have problems at work, financial challenges, relationship issues, health problems or just as possible - they could all be good but stressful events - eg buying a new house or moving house, planning a holiday, getting married, getting promoted at work.  These are probably not the best times to begin a new venture.  I believe these are valid reasons why you may not have the time right at the time, but they will only delay the determined individual for a short period of time.

Generally most of us we usually do not have all these things happening at once and if we really wanted to, we could MAKE THE TIME. Just think about all the time we sometimes waste on unimportant things that really have little or no impact on the quality of our life (I know I wasted my first 30min this morning just surfing and reading some news when I should have started preparing for the day).  So really, the question is not do YOU have the time to invest to become successful, but do YOU WANT to invest the time to be successful.

You need to ask yourself - Am I Prepared to set aside time, MAKE TIME EVERYDAY to do what is necessary to become successful at something (whether that be making money online or learning a new skill).

2. TARGET

Do you have a TARGET?  do you have a goal, a dream a desire? Something you really want?

It doesn’t have to be big or amazing. but whatever it is it does need to BE SPECIFIC.  It can be an income value, it can be to lose weight, to get that six pack, whatever it is, you need to know exactly what it is and be committed to it.  As most of you are reading this because you want to make money online, it should be a dollar value.  Once you have locked your Target in - you must develop a game plan - a plan of attack,  a map to give you the most direct route to reach your destination.

This is the value of having a mentor, a coach an advisor,  someone who has been where you want to be, so they can guide you on the path to success.  Of course this information doesn’t always have to come through direct guidance as much of the information these days is available online, in books, magazines etc. . but really the most powerful way to learn and make the fastest progress is having someone coach you.

Having a network of people who want to join you on the journey can make a big difference as well.  - Get yourself a TARGET that inspires you and gets you excited in the morning!  and BE SPECIFIC!

3. FOLLOW THOUGH.

Probably the most important of the 3 prerequisites, as without this one, you’ll be wasting your time.  I think this is probably the biggest reason for not hitting the target.  Not taking action on the information and guidance provided.

We start enthusiastic, even taking action on everything (which in itself can be a problem:) , but then progressively laziness creep in, things become a little too difficult - it becomes too hard to make that phone call or send that email, because you don’t have the persons contact details right on hand - I mean its going to waste 5 minutes trying to search for that phone number on my computer or address book, I think i’ll just continue surfing the web and waste my time that way - I’m a lot more comfortable with that. . Target? what Target? . . . .

This happens to often when we let our focus fall to the menial or seemingly insignificant task before us rather than keep our eyes and mind on the prize.  Know your Target, Keep it alive in your mind.  BE COMMITTED TO FOLLOWING THROUGH on a proven path and you must Meet with Success!

Alex Jeffrey’s New FREE eBook - Newbie’s Nightmare Released!

I’ve been enjoying an extended holiday over the last month and a half travelling to Hong Kong, London and Paris and have now relocated to Singapore for the time being enjoying the rare pleasure of feeling like I’m in a sauna 24/7:), In any case I’m ready to get back into some blogging!

Anyways I just got an email a couple of days ago letting me know Alex Jeffrey’s has just made his latest Free ebook “Newbie’s Nightmare” available online. So I thought I’d make a quick post about it.

Last year I was involved with his Internet Marketing Coaching program (and hence the birth of this website:) and while he was teaching a lot of strategies and important information on how to be successful online, he also learned a great deal himself about his students and rolling out a coaching program. One of the things he learned was some of the most common reasons why 99% of people fail to make money online. He shares this for free in his ebook Newbie’s Nightmare as well as some of the key strategies to make money online successfully. At just 46 pages its an easy but powerful read. Alex Jeffreys’ Announces Competition Winners For Coaching Students

Progress Update : 2009 January 19th-31st

Ok. . Another 2 weeks has passed. . and I feel I have neglected my blog. . but not for good reason, As I have been busy working on videos for the Video Competition.  I was shooting to win the creative and was still hopeful for the video that gets the most traffic for my last video uploaded 2 days before the comp ended (I Guess I was a little too optimistic on that one). . Anyways. .I haven’t heard confirmation of the winners yet. but will be sure to post the results when I do.

So what’s happened in the last 2 week of January?  well after checking my time log, I was a little shocked to discover I spent just over 50 hours on the 500 Video!  And due to a couple of mini holidays during this time - weekend trip to Brisbane for Chinese New Year and a 4 day break at Jervis Bay in New South Wales - that also cut down my time available to be productive :).  So here’s what I have achieved:

1. Produced the 500 Video - I know I probably over did it :). . but I wanted to be totally happy with it, and I have to say I am pretty proud of the result ~ 50 hours
2. Traffic Generation Activity ~ 3hours
3. Building and optimising blog ~ 4 hours
4. Writing Content ~ 2 hours
5. Miscellaneous ~ 10 hours

After this first full month working on the blog. . - which has mainly consisted with producing the videos :). . and just in my research on what’s happening and whats out there, I feel I’m getting a much better idea of where I am best placed within the World Wide Web - I’ll be making my plans in the next week as I spend time evaluating where I should be heading, and what I want to spend my time on.

Google Analytics Jan 19th-31st 2009

You’ll notice a HUGE peak on the 19th wtih 144 Visits in one day!  This was as a result of my first Video being launched.  My Second Video was launched on the 30th Jan and had to leave for my mini holiday so didn’t have the proper time to promote it.

Lastly my Alexa Ranking has improved as well. . I didn’t do a check on the 31st so here are my stats from today:

Wow - I’m now in the top 250,000 websites :). . My goal to get to the top 100,000 is in sights!  When I first started this blog sometime in mid December it was ranked around 9 Million, and slowly I have gone up the Alexa Ranks :).  .anwyays still much more work to do, but this is definitely encouraging!

THE FUTURE:

Anyways. I think my future lies in making instructional videos and reviews, so I’m researching on what I should be making them for.  If you have any ideas or suggestions on what type of videos I should be making - please leave your comments below!

I got a burst of inspiration yesterday afternoon and made a parody of Steve Ballmer doing his “Monkey Dance”.  It’ll probably be my final video entry for the Alex Jeffrey’s Video Competition. Actually make that definitely since the competition ends in 2 days

I saw this clip a while ago and its pretty funny seeing Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft - one of the worlds biggest companies going crazy, running around shouting and jumping up and down. Episode 2 - Its Time To Shine in 2009 - 500 Video Post - A Forward To Internet Marketing History in 2009 - Starring Alex Jeffreys, Mike Filsaime and The Fortunate 500!

I’m very proud to say that I’ve finally completed another concept video for the Alex Jeffrey’s Video competition.  This has taken me practically a whole week. . and an all nighter (last nite) to get it completed (As I plan to take a few days off now :). I’ve done something special with this Video and tried to include as many of the fortunate 500 in it. . see if you can find yourself - Make sure you watch in HD and you’ll probably have to pause the video to look at the appropriate place - there’ s plenty of very interesting stuff to see - anyways, hope you enjoy It.

Progress Update : 2009 Week 2 January 12th-18th

Ok, So a couple of days late. . but I have legitate excuses (Difficultly uploading video to Youtube - for some reason, it wouldn’t accept my HD version, and attempted nearly 10 times - the file was huge - over 700MB :). .Anyways, here’s my progress report for 12th to 18th of January. (times are approximate, as there were a few times when I was in deep concentration on making the video, I forgot to start the timer

My Achievements:

1. Brainstormed Ideas for Video Contest & Produced and Uploaded first Video (~16 hours+)
2. Researched Wordpress themes and revamped my blog ~ 15 hours
3. Initiated my first Joint Venture Project - I’ll reveal more of this later ~ 4 hours
4. Writing 2 Key articles - one on article writing, the other on directory submission ~ 9 hours
5. Spending a very small amount of time on Traffic Generation ~ 2 hours  (I think this is a little inaccurate - probably more closer to 4-5 hours and this was mostly oil rig hopping - visiting and commenting on other peoples blogs)

Now that I have showed you what I have done - Lets check what the RESULTS are

My Key Performance Indicators from the goals I set in January were based on the following : Income, Visitors, and my list building.  As I have been focusing on producing content and updating my site (and subsequently very little on traffic generation) my results this week, have not suprisingly been bad :)  Firstly here are my google Analytics stats:

As you can see I nearly dipped to ZERO on the 16th, but I was luckily able to resurrect my traffic after I finally uploaded my Video to YouTube.  I have to say its very discouraging when you aren’t getting traffic, but its an adrenalin ride when you do:)

Ok. big question : have I made any money?  And the answer is NO. . in fact I’ve spent some money (spent $70 buying the WooTheme to update the look and feel of my site).  But I know I will very soon. . How about my list?  No subscribers yet either, but again I do have a plan. . so this will change very soon

One other bit of good news is that I have climbed in the Alexa Rankings - I’m now proud to say I’m at 580,385 Check it out below:

Oh, and one other thing. . I just passed 1000 friends on twitter :). . so all in all despite not being good to my bank account, it has been a good week :). . .

Well that’s it for week 2.

My plan this week is to continue working on my blog usability and functionality, adding lots of quality content, and spend more time in traffic generation activities

The Video Alex Jeffreys Never Made But Wanted To : Starring Alex Jeffreys!

Its taken me all weekend, but now I’m really excited as I’ve just uploaded my YouTube Video Entry for Alex Jeffreys 2009 Video Competition :). A Total of $3000 is up for grabs ($1500 for most creative ,and another $1500 for the one that drives the most traffic:) The competition is open to all his coaching students (about 500) - and here are the Criteria that need to be met to be eligible to win
